The Waldhausen Health + Care Infrared FlexPad is an innovative solution to promote muscle relaxation, blood circulation and regeneration. Targeted deep heat gently warms the horse"s muscles, relieves tension and stimulates the metabolism. The pad is particularly suitable for support before training, relaxation after exercise, or as complementary therapy for muscular problems. The three functions can be controlled separately: Infrared light intensity: 3-level spectrum: 660 nm + 850 nm, irradiance level 1: 11 mW/cm², level 2: 18.5 mW/cm², level 3: 32 mW/cm², temperature: 38 °C-48 °C ± 3 °C, vibration: 3 levels: level 1: gentle continuous vibration, level 2: continuous vibration, level 3: intervals. The two fastening straps allow the Infrared FlexPad to be used on the leg or neck — for a wide range of applications.

The infrared pad can be used in a variety of ways and is particularly suitable for supportive use in the following areas:
- Muscle tension and muscle regeneration: The heat can stimulate blood circulation in the muscles for better relaxation before or after intensive training sessions. It is also often perceived as beneficial where the muscles have been overloaded or are tight.
- Joint support: The effect of heat can help to loosen the joints and promote mobility. The pad is also often used as support in case of age-related movement restrictions.
- Tendon and ligament areas: in sub-acute phases following overuse or minor injuries, heat can have a beneficial effect to reduce swelling and improve circulation.
Caution: Do not use in acute phases, as heat can be counterproductive in such cases.
- Preparation before training: The pad is suitable for activating the muscles before training. It can be used to gently prepare the muscles and reduce the risk of tension.
Information on use:
Never use on acute inflammation (e.g. fresh tendonitis, open wounds).
Consultation with a vet or equine therapist is recommended, especially for chronic or complex problems.
The straps are equipped with modern hook-and-loop fasteners for secure and convenient fastening. These are characterised by high tensile strength combined with easy separation when peeled away from each other. This means that the connection is very strong when under tensile load, i.e. when the hook-and-loop fastener is in contact with the surface. However, if the fastener is lifted sideways, it can be opened in a controlled manner and without great effort.
