The Waldhausen balance pads support training of the deep muscles and promote the horse"s coordination. The horse learns to maintain its balance and body tension in a controlled manner on soft, yielding ground. Balance pads can also improve the horse"s body awareness. Young horses in particular benefit from stimulation of their sense of balance, as they are still learning to coordinate their body in a well-balanced manner under the rider. But improving balance, coordination and musculature benefits every horse – regardless of age and training level. We recommend a slow introduction. You can start with one hoof and adjust the time accordingly. We recommend balance training with the pads no more than 1-2 times a week, as it is very strenuous for the horse. Use of balance pads should be discussed with a vet beforehand following injuries or if the horse has physical complaints. Pair.
