Different types of fly rugs at Waldhausen
Waldhausen offers a variety of fly rugs to protect horses optimally from insects. The standard fly blanket is made of thin mesh fabric so that flies, horseflies and co. are kept away, but the horse does not sweat under the blanket. Cross surcingles, a crupper or double front closure ensure a secure hold on the horse, even when romping around in the pasture.
The Waldhausen fly rugs can be supplemented with neck pieces. The zebra collection is particularly suitable for keeping flies away, as they are irritated by the black and white pattern and do not land on the horse in the first place. Special fly riding rugs or horse walker rugs also protect against annoying little animals outside the pasture.
Eczema rugs are the special version of the Waldhausen fly rug. They especially protect the sensitive areas such as the belly, tail and mane from the blackfly, to which horses with eczema react allergically.
The Waldhausen Rain-Fly Blanket
In order to be ideally protected from insects even in summer rain, Waldhausen also offers rain fly rugs. Air-permeable mesh fabric makes the Waldhausen Rain-Fly Blanket particularly light and breathable. A water-repellent back insert protects the horse from the wet.
