Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment – Information in accordance with the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG)


Electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste. They are subject to the provisions of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). 

Separate collection: Waste electrical and electronic equipment from private households must be collected separately. Consumers are legally obliged to dispose of old devices separately from unsorted municipal waste. 

Return and disposal: Waste electrical and electronic equipment from private households may be returned free of charge to designated municipal collection points or through the statutory take-back obligations of retailers. 

Meaning of the symbol: Electrical and electronic equipment is marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. This symbol indicates that the device must be disposed of separately from household waste. 

Data protection: Waste electrical and electronic equipment may contain sensitive personal data. The end user is responsible for deleting such data before disposal. 

Manufacturer registration: We are duly registered as a manufacturer/distributor of electrical and electronic equipment in accordance with the ElektroG with the stiftung ear (National Register for Waste Electrical Equipment).
