Product no.: 3906103
EAN: 4260320840069
KERALIT Undercover is a maintenance paste to prevent horn decomposition processes on the white line, frog, sole, hoof and hollow walls. The paste is ideal for horses kept in open stables that spend a lot of time in the wet! KERALIT Undercover creates a constant, putrefaction-inhibiting environment where it is applied. Particularly suitable for orthopaedic shoes with hoof inserts and silicone pads. Protects over the entire shoeing period. KERALIT Undercover can be used by farriers, hoof trimmers and horse owners.
Application for farriers/hoof trimmers:
Cut out the rotten loose areas in a U-shape with the inner blade. The iron then sits on the groove like a lid. Scrape out deeper notches with a hoof nail to remove as much loose, rotten material as possible. Next, fill the resulting cavities with KERALIT Undercover, in the case of fittings with a plate and silicone inserts, the sole and frog should be coated with a thin layer. Further fitting work is then carried out as
usual.
You can easily treat the frog area and defects in the white line yourself. Also ideal for horses kept in open stables with a damp environment. Treatment is only necessary 1-2 times a week, as the KERALIT Undercover adheres very well to the cavities for several days. Cleaning the furrows beforehand with a spatula and cellulose is crucial for obtaining a result. Afterwards, press the paste as deeply as possible into the furrows and cavities using a spatula or rubber glove.
When used correctly, KERALIT Undercover remains in the hoof for several days and creates a constant, decay-inhibiting environment, even in open stables with a damp environment!
