The use of KERALIT Hoof Strengthener strengthens the horn and makes it much more durable. The horn is stabilised in the area of the white line, the bearing edge and the sole and becomes indigestible for harmful bacteria and fungi. The horn-decomposing pollutants, such as ammonia or hydrogen sulphide from stable litter, are neutralised. The horn abrasion of bare-hoofed horses is greatly reduced. The hooves become significantly more resilient and stable. The shoes of shod horses sit more firmly, the nail holes no longer tear out. For tough and resistant horn, whether bare-hoofed or shod.
Application: Clean the hoof beforehand with a hard, dry brush. Apply KERALIT Hoof Strengthener to dry or slightly damp hooves.
For bare hooves: apply outside to the lower third of the hoof wall, below on the bearing edge and white line. For sensitive horses, additionally on the sole.
For shod horses: apply to the lowest third of the hoof wall (at least over old and new nail holes) and lightly brush under the shoe to reduce decomposition in the white line. Use daily in acute cases, twice a week when the condition improves and once a week as a preventative measure.
