beris bits

beris stands for high-quality synthetic bits “Made in Germany”, distinguished by precise fit, durability, and exceptionally smooth surfaces that noticeably relieve both horse and rider. The products combine comfort, safety, and efficiency for everyday use.

Genuine craftsmanship and selected materials

beris mouthpieces are manufactured in Germany and made of food-grade synthetic material. They impress with a level of workmanship and surface finishing previously unmatched in synthetic mouthpieces. The particularly smooth surface ensures excellent positioning in the horse’s mouth and easy movement, even for horses that produce little saliva. The so-called “eraser effect” does not occur. Almost all horses readily accept the mouthpieces, salivate more, chew more relaxedly, and willingly take the contact. The bit rings are hand-formed from stainless steel, welded, and polished to a high gloss.

The mouthpieces feature an anatomically correct shape for comfortable placement in the horse’s mouth. Only high-quality, tested, non-harmful materials are used.

beris snaffle bits
A freely rotating ring is typical of loose ring snaffles. The movable ring provides greater flexibility in the horse’s mouth. The smaller the ring, the shorter and quicker the rein action.

This snaffle is especially suitable for horses that prefer a more “mobile” bit. In the copper bushings of synthetic and leather bits, the ring runs very smoothly, increasing comfort and significantly extending durability.

beris Eggbutt Bits
The eggbutt bit features specially shaped side pieces that provide particularly stable lateral support. The smooth transition from mouthpiece to rings reliably prevents pinching of the lips and ensures high comfort.

Different ring sizes allow precise adjustment to the rider’s hand: small rings act quickly and directly, while larger rings soften the effect. Variable mouthpiece hardness allows optimal adjustment for nearly every horse type.

beris 3-Ring bits
The beris 3-ring bit combines lateral guidance, leverage, and gag action in one bit. The intensity can be controlled through different rein attachment options. When the rein is attached to the lower ring, it creates a short leverage effect.

Often used to test a horse’s reaction to leverage.

beris D-Ring bits
The shape of the side pieces ensures a calm, neutral position in the mouth. Especially suitable for young or inexperienced horses, as it provides optimal lateral support and guidance. The large ring facilitates soft and even rein contact.

beris Full Cheek Snaffle
The full cheek snaffle lies calmly and securely in the mouth and provides reliable lateral guidance. The angled cheeks prevent pinching of skin or lips. Suitable for horses requiring clear lateral support when turning - young, inexperienced or strong horses alike. Particularly popular among show jumpers for quick turns.

beris Gag Bit
The second rein creates a lifting and elevating effect when pressure increases.

Particularly suitable for horses that tend to lean on the bit and supports increased elevation.

beris Kimblewick Bit
Combines leverage on the lower jaw, poll pressure, and change of bit position into an effective action. Three adjustment options allow precise control. The solid side pieces provide a certain “weight,” ensuring a calm position in the mouth.

beris Kombi
Ensures optimal pressure distribution on the lower jaw and mouth and is well accepted by horses. The second rein acts like a curb strap and can be engaged or released as needed. Especially suitable for strong, forward-going horses.

beris Pelham
A classic shape refinded with Beris' elegant design. It impacts the mouth, lower jaw, and jaw. The effect can be adjusted via the shank length (5cm or 7cm). It is ideal for horses that are struggling with poll flexion, are very sensitive or need clear signaling in critical situations.

beris Weymouth bit + bridoon bit
Elegant design and maximum comfort characterize this curb bit. Available with short or long shanks (5 cm or 7 cm). Suitable for very sensitive horses as well as those requiring stronger influence. The synthetic mouthpiece is well accepted regardless of hardness, promotes chewing and contact. Supplied with curb chain hooks; matching bridoon available.

beris Tandem
Used with one rein and applies pressure to the nasal bone, lower jaw and neck. Increased rein action adds a slight gag effect. Suitable for horses too sensitive for a pure bit but insufficiently controlled with a hackamore alone. Supplied with curb strap.
