Our outdoor rugs are perfect for protection against wet and cold. Unlike stable rugs, outdoor rugs are waterproof and windproof. This means that a Waldhausen outdoor rug is always a rain rug. Waldhausen rugs can also be described as winter rugs, as they are available with thermal fillings of different thicknesses. Nevertheless, the Waldhausen winter rugs are breathable due to the selected materials and do not restrict the horse when romping in the pasture even in winter.
Waldhausen winter rugs for every horse
The higher the filling of the blanket, the better it is suited for cold days. Waldhausen offers rain and winter rugs with different fillings. A blanket with fleece filling is more suitable for the transitional period when it is still relatively warm and rains from time to time. 50 g or 100 g are perfect for colder autumn days or warm winter days. Waldhausen also has rain blankets with 200 g and 300 g filling - for particularly cold winter days.
It should always be noted whether the horse is shorn or not. It must not sweat under the Waldhausen winter rug.
When choosing a blanket, it is not only the thickness that is important, but also the size and cut. Waldhausen therefore has a large selection of rain rugs for foals, ponies, large horses and cold-blooded horses. Some blankets have a high neck or full neck cut and thus also protect parts of the neck. There are also different colours to choose from.

Most winter rugs from all three series are equipped with the Waldhausen Clip In blanket system. This makes it very easy to attach an under blanket and the thickness of a blanket can be adjusted accordingly to the temperatures.
